The issues are:
1) Dead man on the floor
2) murdered by the apartment owner
3) the dead man’s van is still parked outside, with its engine running
4) the dead man was the hitman hired by the apartment owner to kill the bosses wife
5) the bosses wife knew that they were planning to kill the boss BUT she was unaware he had gone and arranged it
6) they have been hypnotised into eating pizza, the constituant ingredients being what may very well be the bosses wife (or at least his finger ring).
